Before you commit to a month
- Make sure your licence covers motorcycles: see our licence guide.
- Check the scooter together at delivery: we photograph it with you, so old marks are never charged.
- Keep the key with you and always lock the handlebar: a scooter stolen with the key in it is your responsibility.
- Ask your villa where to park at night; a gated yard is ideal.
- From November to March, keep the raincoat under the seat: the afternoon rain comes quickly.
Which scooter for a month?
For a month of everything, from beach days to trips to Ubud, most people pick the Yamaha NMAX. The Vespa suits a month based in Canggu or Seminyak, and the Aprilia SR GT 200 is for exploring the hills. Our NMAX or Vespa guide compares them.
