Ubud's rice terraces, waterfalls and temples are spread over the hills around town, and a scooter lets you see them at your own pace, early, before the tour buses arrive. We deliver to hotels, villas and homestays in and around Ubud.
Ubud is about an hour and a half from our base in Kerobokan, so please book at least a day ahead. You can also take the same scooter with you when you move from the south to Ubud.

Where we deliver in Ubud
We deliver across central Ubud (Jalan Raya Ubud, Monkey Forest Road, Jalan Hanoman) and the villages around it, such as Penestanan, Sayan, Nyuh Kuning and Peliatan. For villas further out, towards Tegallalang or Payangan, send us a pin first and we'll confirm.
Some Ubud villas are reached by a footpath through the rice fields. If yours is, tell us where the nearest road is and we'll meet you there.
Which scooter for Ubud?
Ubud's roads climb and wind. The Aprilia SR GT 200 is the best fit for day trips north to the rice terraces and the Mount Batur viewpoint at Kintamani. The Yamaha NMAX is comfortable for two around town and to the waterfalls.
Riding in Ubud: good to know
- The roads north to the rice terraces are narrow and winding. Take it slow and watch for tour vans on the bends.
- Central Ubud has one-way streets, including parts of Monkey Forest Road and Jalan Hanoman. Follow the signs.
- Rain comes quickly in the hills in the afternoon, especially in the rainy season. The raincoat under the seat is there for that.
- Temples such as Tirta Empul ask visitors to wear a sarong. You can borrow or rent one at the entrance.
- Parking in central Ubud is tight in the middle of the day. Use the paid parking areas rather than the roadside.

Questions about renting a scooter in Ubud
Can I keep the same scooter when I move to Ubud?
Yes. Book delivery where you start, for example Canggu, and choose Ubud as the pickup place at the end. It's about an hour and a half's ride up; bring a backpack, because a suitcase doesn't fit on a scooter.
Is riding a scooter in Ubud hard for beginners?
The town centre is busy and hilly, and the roads to the terraces are narrow with tight bends. If you're new to scooters, practise on quiet roads first and avoid riding in heavy rain or after dark.
How much is scooter delivery to Ubud?
Rp60K per trip: once to bring the scooter and once to pick it up at the end. You see the total before you book and pay it on delivery with the rental.
What's the minimum rental, and is it cheaper for longer?
The minimum is 2 days. The price per day drops the longer you ride: 20% off from 7 days, 24% off from 14 days, 50% off from 30 days. The cheapest price for your dates is applied automatically.
Do I pay a deposit or leave my passport?
No deposit, and we never keep your passport. To confirm a booking we ask on WhatsApp for a photo of your passport, your hotel or villa booking and your return flight ticket.
What's included, and how do I pay?
Every rental includes 2 helmets, raincoat, phone holder. You pay on delivery, by cash or bank transfer, and we help on WhatsApp from 8am to 9pm for the whole rental.
Do I need a driving licence to ride a scooter in Ubud?
Yes. You need a licence that covers motorcycles: your home licence with the motorcycle category plus an International Driving Permit that shows it too, or an Indonesian SIM C. Police in Bali do check, and travel insurance usually won't pay without one.
